Measuring Unavoidable Risks in Technology

How much do we really know about the innate safety risks in the technologies that we use every day? Too little and it’s mostly by design. In this session, we share the results of more than five years of research and development of Safety Labels for mobile apps. Safety Labels expose the invisible and often unavoidable safety risks of using a mobile app, based on the observed behavior of the app. We will also share information about a new training and certification program that teaches anyone how to look “inside” the app to see firsthand where your data is going.
