Protecting Students in the Digital Age: Legal Insights on EdTech

In this session, we’ll examine the current state of educational technology, focusing on the challenges of adapting tools designed for adults to use in professional settings to the school environment where they are used by children to learn. We will explore the seeming double standard between digital and analog products in the school environment and identify the many ways children are put in harm’s way by technology used in the classroom. The discussion will cover relevant U.S. laws, emphasizing their role in protecting student privacy and data security.
