A parent discovered that a school-provided application used for communication, homework, and school information also included games and direct links to YouTube videos. The parent reported being unaware these features existed within the student’s version of the app. The consequence was unexpected exposure to non-educational content and lack of parental awareness regarding the child’s digital environment.
